Story

それは、体が弱かった弟の一言からはじまりました。
「できるだけ農薬を使わず、からだに良いワインを造りたい」

It all started with a comment from my younger brother, who was physically weak.
“I want to make healthy wine with as little pesticides as possible.”

I started making wine when I wanted to vinify grapes originally produced in the family vineyard as naturally as possible for my frail younger brother, who loved wine, to drink. I started making wine with my sister.
Unfortunately, my brother passed away after a battle with illness, but our winemaking, which is made in close contact with nature, is still the story of two sisters and a brother.

President Iyobe

My 3 o’clock snack was grapes.

At the edge of the rows of grape vines are roses in full bloom. Since grapes also belong to the rose family, they share the same diseases. If a disease is found on roses, there is a possibility that the same disease will eventually appear on grapes. This is a common sight in European vineyards. Nowadays, preventive technology has developed, so it may not be necessary, but above all, vineyards with roses in bloom are beautiful.

Winery

最初に醸造所として借りたのは国道沿いの小さな建物。
二00九年、狭い狭い醸造所で最初のワインができました。
「あら、できたじゃない!」。あのときの感動は忘れられません。

The first place we rented as a winery was a small house on a main street. In 2009, the first wine was made in this small, cramped place.
“Wow! We made it!”
I will never forget that excitement.

Since its establishment, we have continued to use wild yeast fermentation and unfiltered methods to maximize the grapes’ natural complex flavors and aromas. Each bunch of grapes is carefully selected individually, and de-stemmed by hand. Not using cultured yeast can be a challenge, but it is this method that produces the gentle and powerful flavors that only our winery can produce.

Ryosuke Kondo

I think we were both a bit groping when we first started brewing.
